Transportation for the Elderly

About Me

Transportation for the Elderly

Hi. My name’s Betty. I’m sixty-two years old and live with my husband, Matt. My mother lives on our property, but at age ninety-one still insists on living alone. Mom has a good mind and for her age does well physically. She drove up until four years ago when we all decided it would be best for her to not be behind the wheel. It’s worked out well with her living on our property. Matt or I would take her places. We made sure she had groceries, made it to doctors appointments, and to her social engagements. About six months ago, however, Matt fell ill and our lives changed. I am his full-time caregiver, and Matt can no longer drive. I had to find help for my Mom which was difficult to do. I am going to share what I found and hope it helps you should you ever need transportation.

How To Make The Most Of A Limo Rental On Your Wedding Day

Renting a limo isn't just a great way to get to the church on time. Renting a limo for your wedding day can offer a host of benefits, and there are many ways you can use your limo to get even more enjoyment out of this very special occasion. Here are some ideas you can discuss with the limo service to make your wedding day truly memorable.

Photo Shoot

Whether you do your wedding photo shoot on the day of your wedding or on a different day, the limo can be an integral part of the photos. You can be photographed getting out of the limo in front of the church or reception hall, and you can take posed photos with your spouse to commemorate the day. Challenge your photographer to get creative by using the l,o as a prop. For example, if there is a moon roof, you and your spouse can be pictured with your heads popping out. You can also request that the limo take you to specific tourist spots near where your wedding will be held to get iconic scenes in the background of your photos.

Victory Lap

If your wedding reception will be hosted at a secondary location, you'll likely use your limo to take you from the ceremony to the reception hall. However, this doesn't have to be a direct trip. Consider taking some time for you and your spouse to enjoy some quiet together before the hectic events of the reception begin to unfold. You can direct the driver to take a short drive around town while you enjoy all the trappings that come with a limo ride. Enjoy a glass of Champagne together or simply stretch out and relax on the plush seats. When you finally do arrive at the reception hall, be sure that your photographer is there to capture the moment you emerge from the vehicle.

Grand Exit

Of course, one of the most exciting moments of your wedding day will be when you and your spouse leave the reception to start your life together. You can make a grand exit by having a red carpet rolled out to the limo. Have your wedding planner arrange all of the details, from where the limo will park to putting out the carpet ahead of time. Your guests should be outside lining each side of the carpet so you can be ushered off to your future in celebrity style. Your photographer and your guests can take paparazzi-style photos to commemorate the last minutes of your wedding reception.

Talk to your limo service about all of the available options for your wedding, and don't forget to arrange for limo transportation when you and your spouse are ready to head to the airport to start your honeymoon.
