About Me

Transportation for the Elderly

Hi. My name’s Betty. I’m sixty-two years old and live with my husband, Matt. My mother lives on our property, but at age ninety-one still insists on living alone. Mom has a good mind and for her age does well physically. She drove up until four years ago when we all decided it would be best for her to not be behind the wheel. It’s worked out well with her living on our property. Matt or I would take her places. We made sure she had groceries, made it to doctors appointments, and to her social engagements. About six months ago, however, Matt fell ill and our lives changed. I am his full-time caregiver, and Matt can no longer drive. I had to find help for my Mom which was difficult to do. I am going to share what I found and hope it helps you should you ever need transportation.

Tips For Renting A Charter Aircraft

Chartering a private aircraft can be an effective solution for those that are wanting to conveniently travel in comfort. As you are reviewing your options for chartering an aircraft, it may be important for you to utilize a few precautions to ensure your trip avoids disruptions and other problems that could cause unnecessary stress.

Review The Pet Policy

If you plan on traveling with your pet, you will need to closely review the pet policy for any charter aircraft services that you are considering. It can be common for some providers to refuse to allow pets to fly. Others may charge additional fees, and some will allow the pets to fly without charge. As a result of these differences in policy, it is important to consult with these charter services before you make a decision. Otherwise, you may find that you are surprised to learn that pets are not allowed or that there are additional fees that you must pay.

Book More Space Than You Think You May Need

If you will be traveling with a group, it is important to appreciate that it can be easy or individuals to accidentally reserve a plan that is too small for their needs. This can lead to cramped conditions, and some people may be forced to leave luggage behind. As a result, you should consider always booking a plane that can accommodate at least a couple of people more than what you think that you will need. This will help to ensure that there is additional space on the aircraft for those that have more luggage than anticipated. While this will slightly increase the cost of your charter aircraft, this expense can be worth it for ensuring that you and your guests are as comfortable as possible while riding in the aircraft.

Make Your Reservation As Soon As Possible

Many individuals that have limited experience with renting charter aircraft will make the mistake of waiting until the last minute to make this reservation. Often, this is done as a result of assuming that there will be little demand for these services. However, it can be common for these services to have a wait list that is at least a couple o weeks long. By ensuring that you reserve this aircraft as soon as you realize that you will need it, you can help ensure that you will be able to get the aircraft that you need for your trip.
