Transportation for the Elderly

About Me

Transportation for the Elderly

Hi. My name’s Betty. I’m sixty-two years old and live with my husband, Matt. My mother lives on our property, but at age ninety-one still insists on living alone. Mom has a good mind and for her age does well physically. She drove up until four years ago when we all decided it would be best for her to not be behind the wheel. It’s worked out well with her living on our property. Matt or I would take her places. We made sure she had groceries, made it to doctors appointments, and to her social engagements. About six months ago, however, Matt fell ill and our lives changed. I am his full-time caregiver, and Matt can no longer drive. I had to find help for my Mom which was difficult to do. I am going to share what I found and hope it helps you should you ever need transportation.

Four Ways To Give Out-Of-Town Clients A Luxury Travel Experience

When flying in clients from out of town, you want them to feel like they are getting the best possible experience from your company. This includes arranging for luxury hotel stays and transportation. If you want to make a great impression and show your clients you are willing to go out of your way to keep them happy, start with arranging for luxury transportation. A luxury limousine rental service should be part of your plan. Consider the following ideas to make their business trips to see you unforgettable from the very moment they arrive in town with the right limo arrangements.

Driver Communication

You'll want your clients to feel like they are being taken care of the moment they step off the airplane. Have the service send a text message to the client's phone when the plane is scheduled to land. The text should indicate that the driver is waiting in the baggage claim, the name of the driver, and a welcome to the city.

Custom-Printed Welcome Sign

Don't just have the limo driver hold up a piece of paper with the client's name on it. Have a sign custom-printed for the client, as this can demonstrate your company's attention to detail. The sign should be printed on heavy card stock, and the client's name should be featured prominently in the center. If the client speaks another language besides English, have a message of welcome printed in his or her native language. You should also consider putting your company logo at the bottom of the sign as well.

Personal Assistant And Tour Guide

Arrange with the limo company to have an employee ride in the passenger seat of the limo. This person will act as your client's personal assistant and tour guide throughout the trip. He or she should be waiting with the limo driver in the baggage claim of the airport to welcome the client. He or she should also ensure that your client's needs are met while en route to the hotel, which might include stopping to get food or beverages along the way.

24/7 Transportation Access

Work with the limo company to have a driver on-call for the duration of your client's trip. This will ensure that he or she can travel anywhere in the area at any time, whether your client wants a midnight snack at a local diner or wants to visit the local bars throughout the evening. The limo company should be at the ready to provide transportation anywhere your client wishes to go.

Wooing your clients sometimes means giving them anything they want, and hiring a limo company can make it easier to cater to client demands. Use this guide to help arrange for limo transportation, and look for other ways to make your clients feel welcome when they travel to visit you.
